Students protest against anti-Muslim remarks

Hyderabad, March 29: Situation became tense in Yousuf Guda area yesterday when Law college students staged protest before the Allahabad bank for anti-Muslim remarks made by the bank manager. When the Law College students approached the Yellareddy Guda branch of Allahabad Bank to get information about their bank accounts, the assistant general manager of the bank made anti-Muslim remarks. The enraged students protested against this and demanded action against the manager.

According to sources, students of Law College have been made card holders of the said bank. They approached the bank to get information regarding their bank accounts however students got furious when the assistant general manager Allahabad bank Murli Krishna made anti-Muslim remarks.

Reports of students’ protest caused stir in the Yousufguda area and soon heavy police force reached the spot. Later on for fear of taking action against him on the demand of the students, the assistant general manager Murli Krishna rendered apology, following which the students ended their agitation.
