Hyderabad: With technology now easily accessible to all ages, the younger generation is using the same to exploit themselves at an early age these days.
Use of social messaging apps by youngsters is now proving a little dangerous as they are using the same platform for illegal activities.
The government has recently asked the authorities of at least 16 colleges along with top 20 schools in Hyderabad to check its students behavior change which could be due to use of drugs including LSD among its students.
The advisory in its letter sent to these institutions have stated the problem serious and asked the authorities to strictly monitor the areas, to be alert to “erratic/deviant behaviour” of its students and to watch out for students carrying large amounts of cash or cards, as younger as 13 years or even students of class 8 and 9.
The recent drug dealers arrested in the IT hub revealed students of cities top most prestigious institutions are among the elite 1000 clients to use the WhatsApp messaging service for buying ‘High-end drugs’ reported the sources.
LSD and MDMA high-end drugs are being used by these students said the officials.
One of the officials has also released a WhatsApp message of a girl referring to LSD drug which said “I liked the drug. It gave me a nearly 12-hour high. I want more, can u arrange?”.
It has also been revealed that one of girls who fell into this addiction has offered to exchange her photographs in exchange of drugs. The officials have not disclosed the names of the students to protect the child’s identity and keep them away from being suspended from school’s, but the parents have been cautioned in private of the same, sources reported.
