There is no dearth of potential in our new generation. What they only need is guidance and encouragement. Among such youth are Mohammad Sohail Nawaz, Mohammed Mubashir Ali, Mohammed Harris Mukarram and Mohammed Zaka Ullah Rahmani, students of Mechanical Engineering Department from Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology. Working on an innovative project to provide comfort to patients and disabled persons, these young men devised an electro-mechanical wheelchair.
These young talents reached Siasat daily and enlightened about their innovative project and told that the wheel chair is light weighted compared to common wheel chairs, which requires minimum manual effort for climbing stairs. It also includes features such as oxygen cylinder, an emergency alarm, drip stand and shock absorber. The wheel chair is prepared by aluminum pipe. . Electro-Mechanical wheelchair is a joystick-controlled, battery powered wheelchair. It will be a boon for physically challenged persons as they can operate it on their own without anyone’s help.
