Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Vice Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law advised the students and youths to excel in Law Profession through Hard work. He told that Law profession offers a wide range of opportunities for progress and employment for graduates. He also told that any graduate can take Public Service Commission Examinations. He emphasized the need to promote Law education and said that legal education is the greatest source of income.
Citing an example of one of his students, Prof. Faizan Mustafa told that he earns Rs.40 lakh per annum which is more than his salary. He was addressing the inaugural function of 3 year and 5 year Law courses at Sultan-ul-Uloom Law College. He told that every year, 66 thousand law graduates are coming out of various universities in the country out of which 85% are unemployed. It is therefore, essential for Law graduates to work hard and study to become famous Lawyers like Muthi lal Nehru who used to charge more than Rs. 15, 000 from his clients in those days.
Prof. Faizan Mustafa lamented that the practitioners of Labour Law are also behaving like the capitalists. Supreme Court is recompiling Labour Law, keeping in view the latest needs and also to review the exploitations of the laborers by the capitalists.
The Vice Chancellor of NALSAR University told that Minorities have the right to establish and administer the educational institutions of their choice as per the constitution of India but there is no definition of Minorities anywhere in the constitution. The word Minorities is mention in the caption only at 4 places in the Constitution of India without defining it. He told that the purpose of establishing Minorities is to preserve and protect their religious and linguistic culture.
Justice Vaman Rao, Former Judge of A.P. High Court told that Human Psychology is also important. It is therefore essential for the students of Law to gain expertise in Psychology in addition to their Law courses. He told that Law is a noble profession. In his speech he told that hard work is essential for the success in every profession.
Mr. Mohammed Waliullah, Vice Chairman of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society told that there is a shortage of Muslim Advocates. He told the students of Law to earn name and fame in the profession of law and also to help the week. They should always support the truth.
Mr. Zafar Javeed, Secretary of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, congratulated the students admitted in 3 year and 5 year Degree courses of Law and told them that the college is providing all the facilities to the students to make their future brighter. He further told that Sultan-ul-uloom College of Law is one of the best Law colleges.
Mr. Meer Wajeed Ali Kamil, Advocate and member of Sultan-ul-uloom Education Society and Prof. Akhtar also addressed the gathering. The book on “Labour and Industrial Law” written by Prof. Ahmed Ullah Khan was also released in the function. Dr. Meer Akbar Ali Khan, Treasurer of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society presented mementos to Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Justice Vaman Rao and other guests.
