Students held for ransacking college

Ahmedabad, Jun 08: A college’s decision to stop Gujarati medium BA course for English version today sparked protests from students, who went on the rampage at the premises at Ambavadi area here, police said.

Four students were arrested for rioting, while a complaint has been registered against nine professors of Sahajanand Arts and Commerce College for inciting them.

The management had decided to close down Gujarati medium division for BA course and start one in English.
