For 80 Class 12 students of UP Sainik School here, Tuesday brought them close to the army in real life as a senior officer of the Central Command hosted at his official house.
On the eve of Independence Day, the army school students were driven to the sprawling residence of Lt. Gen. Anil Chait where they spent more two hours interacting with him and getting to know what army life was like.
Gen. Chait studied in the same school 40 years back.
Army officers present at the event told IANS that while the students had a great time, the commander was in his best entertaining and regaling them with his memories at the school.
