Addressing a meeting at collectorate the District collector M Veera Bhramiah ordered the officials to provide meal to children, cooked with super fine rice from the New Year. Instructing the authorities concerned, including Hostel welfare officers, special officers of Kasturba Gandhi School and the officers of Mandal Education.
Speaking on the occasion, Veera Brahmaiah said that meals cooked with superfine rice would be provided to students studying in 3049 schools and residing in 309 social welfare hostels across the district. He stated that mid-day meal scheme with superfine rice would benefit from the initiative.
Stating that officials would conduct surprise inspections to ensure proper distribution of food to children, appreciation certificates would be presented on Republic Day (January 26) to those hostel welfare officers, who have implemented mid-day meal scheme effectively, he said.
