Students can check HSC results online after 11am

Mumbai, May 25: More than 13 lakh students who appeared for their higher secondary certificate (HSC) exam in February will be able to check their results online. The results will be made available on board websites from 11am on Tuesday.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will release the results on several websites across eight divisions in the state where students will get their subject scores.

Balasaheb Thorat, the school education minister who took the decision of announcing the results online a week before the mark sheets are given out, said, “The students will get enough time to plan out their career, to decide on courses they can chose based on their scores. It will also help in reducing their anxiety for a week.”

Madhavi Pethe, principal of ML Dahanukar College, Vile Parle, said: “Since they are getting the marks a week in advance, the students have enough time to do research on several courses.”

The mark sheets will be made available to students in their respective colleges at 3pm on May 31. The result with pass percentage of colleges will also be released on the same day at 11am.

Students who wish to verify their scores can apply for the process between May 31 and June 9. Verification request on the basis of the scores obtained online will not be considered.
