Students agitate against the appointment of Agri Univ. V.C.

Agitation of students and teachers against the appointment of V.C. from Andhra Region continued yesterday also.

Although, Governor imposed a temporary ban on the appointment of V.C. but the students are demanding to withdraws these orders. They say that their agitation would continue till a V.C. from Telangana Region is appointed, leaders of various political parties visited the protest camp and expressed their support to the agitating students.

TRS MLA Mr. J. Krishna Rao while addressing the agitating students told that
Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy and other Andhra rulers are continuing their injustices with the people of Telangana. They did injustice in the distribution of water also.

Criticizing on the appointment of V.C. from Andhra Region, Mr. Krishna Rao told that this appointment has been made at a time when Telangana agitation is in progress. Govt. appointed a V.C. neglecting Telangana agitation and the sacrifices made by Telangana students.

By appointing a V.C. from Andhra Region, Govt. has proved that the sentiments of Telangana people are not important.

He alleged that C.M. and Governor are functioning as the agents of Andhra leaders. He declared that agitation would continue till the appointment of V.C. from Telangana Region. He pointed out that in democracy, it is the responsibility of the Central and State governments to honour the sentiments of people. But the Govt. led by Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy has forgotten all these democratic principles altogether. He also bitterly criticized the people’s representatives of Telangana Region that none represented this matter wither to C.M. or Governor. It seem that there is no importance of the representatives of Telangana with C.M. and the Congress High Command. Congress High Command is certain that the leaders of Telangana would accept any decision taken by her because they are more concerned about their posts than the sentiments of the people.

Mr. Krishna Rao told that TRS would continue to struggle for the separate Telangana, which is going on for the past 56 years. Central Govt. had announced on 9th December 2009 that it would initiate the process of formation of Telangana State but deviated from it later. He told that Telangana State won’t be formed until there is a resistive for Andhra leaders.
