Student turns motorcycle thief after his bike is stolen

New Delhi, December 15: A teenage student turned into a “motorcycle thief” in west Delhi after a two-wheeler gifted to him by his father was stolen, police said today.

The class X student of a school in Paschim Vihar was apprehended in Vikaspuri yesterday while he was allegedly travelling in the stolen motorcycle bearing the number plate of his own two-wheeler.

“He stole the motorcycle from Vikaspuri a week ago after his two-wheeler gifted by his father was stolen,” V Renganathan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), said.

The student, a resident of Vishnu Garden, allegedly managed to steal a motorcycle from near Lal Dental Clinic in Vikaspuri a week ago and replaced the number plate with his own motorcycle number, he said.
