Chennai: A day after three girl students committed suicide at a medical college in Viluppuram district, a second year engineering student from Anna University died after allegedly falling from the terrace a multi-storey building in the college premises last night.
The victim has been identified as Shanmuga Preetha (19), a B. Tech Ceramic Technology student at the Guindy College of Engineering. The incident happened around 11:30 p.m.
It is yet to be ascertained whether she fell from the terrace while talking on the mobile or she committed suicide.
Earlier, three female students of Svs Medical College of Yoga and Naturopathy and Research Institute had committed suicide in Tamil Nadu due to lack of basic infrastructure in the institute. (ANI)
