On the occasion of Jashn-e-Telangana, representatives of various social, political and welfare organizations acclaimed the remarkable role of Siasat daily in allaying the apprehensions among Muslims regarding perils of Telangana formation. Ismail-ur-Rab Ansari presided over Jashn-e-Telangana organized by Mazhar Education and AP Urdu Forum, at Press Club Basheer Bagh. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Maulana Hamed Mohammed Khan president MPJ, Hafez Peer Shabbir Ahmed MLC, Nawab Mir Kazim Ali Khan president Ambedkar National Congress, Mr. Sanaullah Khan chief convenor SC, ST, BC, Muslim Front, Mr. Syed Ali senior Congress leaders attended as chief guest.
Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan said that process of formation of Telangana state has reached its final stage despite strong opposition and conspiracies by investors and opportunist leaders and now struggle to provide justice to downtrodden sections of Telangana is inevitable. Although India is a democratic county yet Muslims and BCs suffered most damages and exploitation. Alleging opportunist political parties and leaders of hatching conspiracies to reach power by creating fear about communal forces, he said the opportunist political parties gained the maximum from communal hatred. It was only poor Muslims who bore the brunt of communal fire. Mothers and sisters were raped and molested and common Muslims suffer genocide. But in none of the communal riots any Muslim leadership was harmed. On the contrary Muslim leadership by creating fear of fascist forces succeeded in strengthening its power.
Maulana Hamed Khan said that involvement of Muslim intellectual class in Telangana movement became the source behind preventing another police action.
Hafez Peer Shabbir Ahmed said that Siasat daily not only succeeded in allaying restlessness among Muslims in districts but through awareness campaign it played a pivotal role in dispelling fear among Muslims regarding Telangana formation.
