Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam has advised those, who were fighting against corruption, to start anti-corruption agitation from their home State. Stating that the country has crossed 100 crore population, Dr Kalam said that houses were three times higher than the country’s population. He observed that 30 per cent of houses were constructed with illegal money.
Dr Kalam attended a program at St Ann’s Junior College and delivered speeches on various subjects. He patiently answered all the students, who posed questions to him. He exhorted the students to read auto-biographies of admirable personalities’ and follow their footsteps. He also felt that a strong Lokpal could check corruption. He said power generation should be increased through new researches in solar, wind, nuclear and biogas. (NSS)
