Hyderabad, October 2: Except for those who participated in general strike, the state government on Saturday paid full salary to all the officials and workers of the state for the month of September; while the striking employees were paid a salary of just 12 days. The number of government employees working in various public departments including Singareni Collieries, APSRTC, various electric departments, etc. who were paid 12 days salary is 5.70 lakhs. Highly placed sources told this.
The monthly budget for the salaries of all employees of the state is 2300 crore rupees and due to non payment of full salary to striking employees government could save only 594 crore rupees this month. The head of the departments of state legislative assembly, state legislative council, Raj Bhawan and state secretariat were paid 100 percent salaries.
