Strikes on Syria: Erdogan says more people die due to conventional weapons than chemical arms

Istanbul: Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Syria faced air and missile strikes only after the alleged use of Chemical Weapons, however, during the past 7 years, millions have been killed/displaced.

Talking at Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Istanbul, Turkey, Mr. Erdogan said that Turkey allowed 3.5 million people from Syria during the process whereas imperial powers failed to take anyone.

According to the report published in Daily Sabah, he said that they conducted airstrike but Syrian children come to Turkey. He also questioned why only chemical arms are taken seriously, why not conventional weapons.

Comparing the death caused by conventional and chemical weapons, Mr. Erdogan said that conventional weapon had taken more lives than chemical arms.

Supporting peace in the world, he said no to the random bombing on these countries.

It may be mentioned that the United States, Britain and France carried out a wave of pre-dawn strikes against the Assad regime Saturday in response to a suspected chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of civilians on April 7.
