Stressed to adopt Islamic values: New year meeting in Giriraj college Nizamabad

(Siasat News) The tradition of celebrating New year’s day is not according to the Islamic teachings. It is also not a part of a Indian Culture. It is a western tradition which has been popularized by the Christians and the Jews. The youths have been habituated to drink, dance and run motor cycles in a greater speed on New year’s day. It is not appropriate for the Muslim youths. There is a need to adopt Islamic values and to review the activities done during the past year and to plan new thinks for the New year.

These thoughts was expressed by the participants of New year day program held at Govt. Giriraj College, Nizamabad. Mr. Abid Ali, Lecturer told that the good knowledge is one which inspires people to act upon it. He advised the students atleast not to see T.V. on the first day of the New year. Dr. Mohammed Aslam Farooqui, Head of the Dept. of Urdu of the college told that it is good gesture that the students of Giriraj college have organized awareness program. He advised the students to organized a program of reform every year. All the students should behave like they behave in Ramazan. Mr. Mohammed Khaleel, a student of B.Com 3rd year conducted the meeting.
