Miscreants are making attempts to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city for the past few days. Their mischief started when big animals were being transported into the city. They stopped the lorries, which carried these animals; it created tension in the city. The communal riots of Musheerabad were the result of such communal disturbances. In Sabzi Mandi area Nishan-e-Mubarak of Hazrath Ghouse-e- Azam (RA) was set ablaze. Shops of the Muslims were looted and set ablaze.
These incidents are the result of incompetence of Police and its partisan treatment.
These thoughts were expressed in a press conference, which was convened by All India Sunni Ulema Board. Maulana Hamid Husain Shuttari presided over the conference.
He told that due to the construction work of Charminar temple, tension in the city has increased. In such a situations, there is a need for the establishment of Minorities Commission, which has not been constituted for the past four years. He appealed to the Govt. to constitute Minorities Commission soon, otherwise a mass agitation would be launched together with other Muslims organizations. He demanded to appoint the Chairman of Minorities Finance Corporation also shortly.
