Mr. Iliyas Shamsi, leader of State Bahujana Samaj Party of A.P. told that celebrating the birthday of Maulana Azad as Minorities Welfare Day or National Education Day has become a political tactics. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Iliyas Shahsi who was celebrating this Day as “Memoirs of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad”. He was the only leader who wanted to get independence without the participation of India and Pakistan, whereas Mahatma Gandhi also had surrendered to communal riots, like Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel but Maulana Azad did not express his displeasure. Instead, he spent all his energy to save the Muslims from the politics of division. He failed to trust the Congress Party. Maulana Azad Proposed 3-point formula for India. He wanted India to be divided into three categories, namely: A, B and C States. The Govt. should be federal. The Central Govt. should hold External Affairs, Defense and Communications. Muslims should be made Chief Ministers where Muslim Population is predominant. In the same manner, the Hindus should become Chief Ministers in Hindu concentration areas. Had this formula been implemented, thousands of innocent Muslims would not have been killed under the leaderships of Congress and BJP.
