Offices of Education Dept. have started identifying unrecognized schools in old city. They are preparing the lists of such schools and giving them to their subordinates to pressurize the managements of unrecognized schools for getting recognition. Many schools in old city are unable to get recognition due to non-compliance of the conditions such as open play ground, Parking Facilities and clearance certificate from Fire Station. In addition to this, they have to get a “No Objection Certificate” from Traffic Police.
It is understood that a list of 160 unrecognized school has been prepared which schools in old city and also in Ameerpet, Khairtabad, Nampally, Golconda, Maredpally, Secunderabad and Mushirabad.
It is understood that a campaign is being organized by DEO for getting recognition but the managements of these schools feel that it is a campaign for getting bribe. DEO is threatening that in case recognition certificate is not obtained by the managements, their schools will be closed down. It may be noted that the annual examinations are fast approaching and the school managements are getting ready for these examination. DEO is instructing the managements to file applications for recognition. If they do not do so, their schools will be sealed. It may be noted that corporate schools take recognition for one school but they run more schools under the same certificate but the officials of Education Dept.do not take any action against them. They are targeting the schools which collect nominal fees and impart education in slum areas.
