Strengthen T Movement, Appeals Gaddar

Hyderabad, November 12: The noted balladeer and Telangana Praja Front founder-president Gaddar has appealed to all concerned to extend wholehearted support to the Telangana movement.

Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, Mr Gaddar said that he was making this appeal to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhara Rao, and all other pro-Telangana leaders. All should join hands and strengthen the movement, he added. He also called upon all concerned to stage dharnas before the houses of all MPs of the region demanding that they mount pressure on the Centre to table Telangana Bill in Parliament.

Replying to a question, Mr Gaddar said that the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee Member-Secretary, Mr V K Duggal, should not have gone to the houses of those leaders who were opposing separate Telangana State.

It may be mentioned here that Andhra MPs had called Mr Duggal for a dinner and the party senior leader and former Union minister, Mr T Subbarami Reddy, hosted it. Faulting Mr Duggal for attending the dinner hosted by the Seema-Andhra leaders, the TRS leaders, including Mr T Harish Rao have said that this amounted to Mr Duggal favoring the Andhra leaders who were opposing the State’s bifurcation. The TRS leaders also demanded the resignation of Mr Duggal.

Talking to the media a couple of days ago, Mr Duggal contended that attending a dinner hosted by Andhra MPs did not mean he was favouring that region. He also reminded the TRS leaders that he had also attended a tea party hosted by them.

Stating that all the regions were equal to the members of the Srikrishna Committee, Mr Duggal asserted that the committee report would be impartial. He also said that the report would be ready by the time given by the Centre i.e. December 31, 2010.
