Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today directed the Education department to give permissions to DIET Colleges to fill vacant posts and give regular salaries to guest lecturers in all districts. The DIET Colleges should be developed with uniform buildings with similar design, facilities and repairs, he said.
Addressing a high-level official meeting here today, Srihari said pre-school Diplima will be introduced in DIET institutions from 2018 academic year. He sought proposals from the officials for budgetary allocations in the next budget session. The Deputy Chief Minister also asked the officials to take steps to strengthen DIET institutions with all facilities and infrastructure. He also stressed the need for repairs in all districts. He also advised the DIET Principals in the districts to coordinate with local leaders to resolve the problems and issues.
The officials attended the meeting include Education special chief Secretary Ranjiv Acharya, Education Commissioner Kishan, Director Seshu Kumari, SCERT officials, Principals, RJDs and others. (NSS)
