4 months ago the municipal contractors started the work of laying drainage line at Rahmat Nagar. The work is done at snail’s pace but the worst part of it, is that the pipeline which is being laid and also the manholes are 2 to 3 feet above the ground level. Till the work is completed the level of the houses of the street will go down 4 feet below the ground level.
Seeing the Siasat’s campaign for solving public issues, an elderly woman called Siasat office and requested to inspect the area. The woman told that they were afraid to raise objection as the leader of the locality will create trouble for them.
Local women told that they are facing hassles since 4 months. Some women daringly flayed the local leaders and said that they had come to us joining their palms but now if they touch our feet then also we will not give them our vote.
