Stop cow slaughtering: Gopal Maniji

“It is a shame on the country that cow slaughter is going on in India which is known for its great cultural spirit and respect for the Cow’, said Gopal Mani Maharaj, renowned activist for cow protection and Founder of Bharateeya Gow Kranthi Manch. He called upon the Hindus to protect the cow from slaughtering.

At a press meet held in NSS here on Friday, he demanded for stringent laws by the Central and State governments to punish the butchers and slaughters of Cows. He also urged the government to declare cow as a ‘National animal’ and create a special department for its protection. All devastations such as inadequate rain fall, famines, political instability and unrest in public life are because of cow slaughtering only, he stated.
Gopal suggested that the government should provide sufficient form land in every village to grow fodder for the purpose of domestic animals such as cows and oxen. Government should provide cows at a subsidized price to formers, and then only formers are able to maintain them, he observed. To improve awareness about the importance of cows among the students, he suggested that, government should include cow related lessons in school curriculum. He also suggested that, by generating bio-gas from cow dung in rural villages one can reduce the burden on rural poor.
MAHA RALLY
He invited the cow protectors to join the maha rally which will be conducted by Bharathiya Go Kranthi Munch on December, 21 at Goshamahal Police Stadium. Mr. Binduji Maharaj, and Jasmath Patel, trusty of Swamy Narayan Gurukul, Ridesh Jagirdar, Incharge and others were present at the media meet. (NSS)
