President of America, Mr. Barak Obama and Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh should impress upon the Govt. of Myanmar to stop immediately the bloodshed of the Muslims. All the speakers who addressed the gathering held at Press Club in connection with Budha Jayanti Celebrations demanded this unanimously that the Buddhists of that country have forgotten the teaching of Buddha. B.R. Ambedkar trust had organized a seminar on “ The Relevance of the Philosophy of Mahatma Budh’s Non-Violence”.
Mr. Mohd Kazim Ali Khan, President of Ambedkar National Congress and founder trustee questioned the Govt. of India that why it is keeping quiet. He told that all the religions of the world preach Non-Violence and Buddhism is one of the oldest religion which preaches peace and tranquility. He further told that the trust imparts professional education to girls through its voluntary institutions.
Mr. Zia Quadri, Printer Publisher of Rashtriya Shara Urdu Daily told that Buddhism and Jainism are known for their philosophy of Non-Violence but the Buddhists have resorted to violence in Myanmar against the Muslims. Mr. E. Ismial, former member of Human Rights Commission applauded the teachings of Buddha and told that the tenets of Islam are the final words of Human Rights. Mr. Nanak Singh Nashtar told Jainism preached Non-Violence before Buddhism. Buddha raised his voice against atrocities and social evils of that time. Mr. Naga Raju, Mr. Srinivas Varma, Mr. K. Gattaiah, Mr. Rajender Prasad and a religious leader of Buddhism also addressed the gathering. Mr. Hadi Raheel conducted the meeting and Mr. Ahmed Siddiqui Mukesh thanked the gathering.
