Jaipur, January 10: Groups of hostellers and other students pelted stones at each other in Rajasthan University campus here today, the second time such a clash took place within a span of three days.
However, no one was injured in the incident, police said.
“A group of students of Maharaja College had gone to the Vice-Chancellor of the University to demand removal of Gokhle Hostel from their college,” police said.
At the same time, several hostellers also approached the university demanding impartial investigation into the clash between hostellers and other students which had occurred on Saturday.
“In the campus, members of both the groups first had heated arguments and then they started throwing stones at each other,” police said.
They said police controlled the situation by using “mild force” and detained a few students.
