Hyderabad: After stone pelting incident in Nirmal District of Telangana State, police took necessary security measures and imposed Section 144 of CrPC on Monday.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, Mr. P. Pramod Kumar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Karimnagar Range is monitoring the securing measures in the district.
Talking about the situation in the district, Mr. T. Manohar Reddy, DSP of Nirmal told that Section 144 would continue till 28th March. He also said that if needed, it would be extended further.
It may be mentioned that the situation in Nirmal District had become tense due to stone pelting at Masjid during “Rama Navami” procession which was taken out in the night of 25th March.
When the procession reached Masjid Gulzar located at Vegetable Market, it was alleged that stones were pelted on the Masjid by miscreants as a result of which the window panes of Masjid got damaged.
