Stockbroker found murdered

Hyderabad, May 17: A stock broker was on Sunday found murdered on the railway tracks near Budwel railway station.

Investigators suspect he was murdered due to illicit relations with a woman.

His body was noticed in the morning by hut dwellers near Budwel who informed the police.

With the help of a wallet containing driving licence, a SIM card and a photocopy of the SSC examination marks memo, police identified the victim as A Pratap (26) of Bandlaguda.

Pratap worked as a stock broker at Punjagutta. The SIM card was on Pratap’s mother’s name, police said.

According to police, Pratap suffered multiple stabs on his body. They suspect he was killed at some other place and his body was dumped on the tracks later to make it seem like the death was due to an accidental fall from a running train. “There were no blood stains on the spot which suggests that Pratap was murdered at some other place,” a police official said.

Police said Pratap used to meet with a woman who sells toddy at Netaji Nagar in Budwel since the past three years and his family members were planning to perform his marriage with someone else next month.

“It is suspected that the relation with the woman might had led to the killing,” police said.
