Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy today said they are getting ready to launch another movement for power production at the Srisailam project.
Talking to mediapersons at Mahbubnagar on Saturday, the minister held the TDP and BJP Governments responsible for the present power crisis in Telangana State. He said the AP Government at the behest of the Centre is defying AP Bifurcation Act and denying 54 per cent of waters, he alleged. The Centre is deliberately delaying to bifurcate the officials among the two States of Telangana and AP, he charged. Lack of adequate officials is reflecting on the governance, he said.
The Minister also found fault with the Centre and AP government for adopting arm-twisting tactics to hamper their interests of power production and use of Krishna waters. Jagadish Reddy accused AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu of trying to malign the TRS Government by conspiring against its welfare. The TRS will certainly take up another movement against the Centre and AP Governments if they failed to mend their ways, he warned. (NSS)
