Washington: Mental health issues which were considered a taboo not so long ago are now finding a place in mainstream discussions with more and more A-list celebrities opening up about their experiences, with the recent being American model Kendall Jenner.
In a new teaser for this Sunday’s episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, the 22-year model opened up about her struggle with anxiety as she said, “I’m still trying to cope with my ongoing anxiety.”
Sharing the teaser of the same on her official Twitter handle, the reality star wrote, “learning to cope with anxiety isn’t easy, but sometimes opening up about the journey really does help.”
Jenner’s anxiety issue and panic attacks have been a constant part of the plotline on her family’s show.
Jenner doesn’t believe in staying silent about her daily life struggles and she recently also opened up about her mental health in the June issue of ELLE Magazine.
“It’s interesting; ever since I said something about being anxious, a lot of people in the spotlight have come to me, being like, ‘Oh my God, me too!’ There’s this community,” Jenner had said in the cover story.
“I take what they do to help themselves and piece it together to find what helps me,” she added.
Lately, many celebrities, including Prince William, Noah Cyrus, Gwyneth Paltrow, have come out to openly discuss this less-talked-about issue.
Back home, Deepika Padukone has been candid about her struggles with anxiety and depression and is actively working for the cause.
