Still talks are on with tdp for Tie-up: Javadekar

Describing electoral alliance as “bride seeing ceremony” (Pelli Chupulu), BJP official spokesperson Prakash Javadekar today said still talks were on between TDP and BJP on the issue.
“Having a tie-up with other party is like a “bride seeing ceremony” (Pelli chupulu). If bride is beautiful and acceptable to all, then only we can proceed further for performing marriage”, Javadekar said. Still parleys are going on with TDP and it has come out with a clear picture on seat sharing, the BJP leader said.
Javadekar said, “the talks are going on smoothly and we will announce it only after reaching an understanding. We gave time to TDP till this evening. Delay in forging an alliance is not good for both parties. Presently we are holding talks with TDP only on tie-up for elections and no talks were held with TRS”, he made it clear.
“The Congress would be wiped out in Andhra Pradesh. We are ready to talk on secularism. In fact, Congress is a communal party” he said.
Meanwhile, party’s national vice-president and senior leader Bandaru Dattatreya felt that election alliance is important for both parties in the State. An elections alliance could be forged if there was flexibility, Dattatreya said. He denied news reports that a tie-up was nearly finalized between BJP and TDP. (NSS)
