Hyderabad: Telangana Wakf Board has started action for the protection of 1298 acres of Wakf land pertaining to Dargah Hazrath Makhdoom Biyabani located in Ranga Reddy District.
CEO of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Asadullah met collector of Ranga Reddy District and sought his cooperation for the protection of this valuable property. The Collector issued instruction to all the RDOs and MROs to survey the Wakf land of 1298 acres to demarcate the boundaries and also to identify illegal occupants.
It shall be mentioned that very recently, Mr. KCR had invited the attention of CEO of Wakf Board for the protection of this property. CM had also assured the cooperation of Revenue Department for the protection of this land after which Collector has shown interest in this matter.
Officials of Revenue Dept. and Wakf Board would jointly suvery this Wakf land. Wakf Board has already issued eviction notices to 342 illegal occupants. After the completion of survery, further action would be taken against them. It is reported that CM intents to setup technology park on this land to attract foreign investment. After protecting this land, Govt. will allot it to various institutions which would execute rental deeds with Wakf Board. If the Govt. allots this land directly to the companies, there won’t be any benefit to Wakf Board. On the contrary, if the companies enter into rental deeds with Wakf Board, income would be generated for Wakf Board.
CEO of Wakf Board has started taking steps for the protection of many valuable wakf properties in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts. He is getting records from Revenue Dept. and also Wakf Board so that there won’t be any legal complication in the protection of Wakf Properties. He has also sought revenue record pertaining to 5 acres and 7 guantas of Wakf land of Masjid Nanabagh, Basheer Bagh. He was successful in stopping illegal construction adjacent to the mosque. After the complete survey of the Wakf land, he would issue eviction notices to the residential complexes and offices situated on this land.
