Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali today said that the TRS Government has initiated steps to bring back those Telangana people trapped in Iraq strife.
Talking to media persons at Secretariat here, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has swung into action and directed the officials to initiate measures on a war-footing. The TRS Government has already been in touch with the Centre and sought its help, he maintained. ‘We have already asked the collectors of all 10 Telangana Districts to collect details of their family members living in Iraq and work place’, Ali stated. ‘Our Government is committed to provide total security to our people and spoken to Ministry of External Affairs’, Deputy Chief Minister said. Ali also expressed concern that the people from Telangana are in quagmire in the strife torn Iraq. ‘But nothing to worry as our Government is taking care of the issue’, he said. (NSS)
