Steps taken by Congress for the welfare of the Muslims

(Siasat News) Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has taken effective steps for the Welfare and Development of the Muslims. The C.M toured Tandur as part of his Indiramma Bata programme yesterday. He told that for the first time in the history of India, Muslim youths booked in Makka Masjid Bomb Blast case were exonerated and a compensation of Rs. 80 Lakh was paid to them. They were also given good character certificate for their better career in the future. 25,000 bicycles were given to Muslim girls. Scholarships were given to 1.5 lakh students. 2900 Vidya volunteers were appointed in Deeni Madrasas to teach modern subjects like science and Maths.

The C.M. told that Congress Govt. has taken many welfare measures for the development of the Muslims. Many more things have to be done to them. He said that a special campaign is being conducted to get back the Muslim drop out students to schools. Very soon, teachers would be appointed in Muslim concentration areas. C.M. said that the top priority of the Govt. is to eradicate communal riots in the state. He announced to give compensation to the victims of the recent communal riots of Tandur. He pointed out that due to 4% reservations given to the Muslims three thousand engineers and one thousand doctors could get seats. He presented a memento to Hafiz Nayeem Akhtar’s son Dr. Mohammed Eisa who had secured 24th rank in medicine and also got a job in Railway hospital.
