Steps to protect Dargah Hazrat Madaar Shah & Takiya Yaseen Begum land

Hyderabad: Telangana Waqf Board has begun action to protect land attached to Dargah Hazrat Madaar Shah and Takiya Yaseen Begum Graveyard and remove illegal occupation.

Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah tried to obtain record about the said land from Revenue Department so as to review the status of the 27 acre land attached to the Dargah and graveyard. Interestingly there is no record available in Waqf Board regarding the old graveyard and Dargah and it is suspected that the illegal occupants have deleted the records from Waqf Board to continue their illegal activities.

The man who had claimed ownership of the land had submitted application in Waqf Board in 2001 requesting to appoint him mutavalli of Dargah and graveyard. This record is also not present in Waqf Board.

On the complaint of Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) spokesman Amjadullah Khan Khalid, Chief Executive Officer sent an investigative officer to Hayat Nagar Mandal. In the report it is mentioned that the 10 acre 13 guntas land under survey no 121 is occupied by one Narsimha Reddy. He has surrounded the land with a compound wall.
