Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) chairman Somarapu Satyanarayana today said a strategy was being evolved to put the Corporation on revenue path.
Satyanarayana said they have reviewed the problems pertaining to the RTC and measures to extricate RTC from revenue loss. He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has suggested some measures to come out from recurring losses. A high-level meeting was organized in Bus Bhavan to discuss in detail about the recurring losses to the corporation and steps to be taken to put the Corporation on revenue path.
The Corporation has a target of getting Rs 5,000 crore revenue this year, he said, adding that 1,575 new buses and 200 mini-busses would be purchased this year. He also said there was no proposal to cut down “Palle Velugu” and ordinary bus services. He also said buses would be operated to all districts from and to for Krishna pushkaralu. (NSS)
