Hyderabad: Chairman of Telangana Minorities Residential Schools Society, Mr. A.K. Khan, IPS, DGP of ACB held a meeting at Telangana Tourism Plaza yesterday with the office bearers of various voluntary organizations as an attempt to create awareness for getting more and more registrations done for the Minorities Residential Schools. He informed that a decision would be taken later for the extension of last date for online registration since the number of girls registered for this scheme is not satisfactory. He also told that the applications of other communities are more in number than the Muslims. The objective of the Govt. of Telangana is to provide quality education through English medium to the educationally backward minority communities.
Mr. Khan told that additional security staff would be posted in the girls’ hostels to ensure their security. He further told that in Hyderabad City and in districts buildings have been identified for accommodating 71 schools. Speedy steps are also being taken for the recruitment of competent teachers. In order to start imparting education in the month of June, necessary infrastructure is being provided in these school buildings.
Mr. Khan pointed out that in the districts where the registration of minority candidates is less, special attention would be paid for its increase.
