Steps to free land cases of various proposed bhavans

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Monday assured in the Telangana State Assembly that the Advocate-General was directed to personally see to it that litigations surrounding lands sanctioned by the Government for construction of bhavans for various communities were cleared at the earliest.
Responding to a supplementary question of BJP member G. Kishan Reddy during question hour in the House about the very gesture and purpose of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in allotting prime lands and also required grants for construction of Bhavans for different communities were being negated due to the lands entangled in litigation in various courts, the Deputy Chief Minister allayed fears of the members by asserting that these lands would be cleared of all litigations. The Advocate-General of the State has been directed to personally deal with these cases, he explained.
The Deputy Chief Minister giving details about various lands allotted to different communities explained that Babu Jagjeevan Ram Bhavan at a cost of Rs 2.50 crore on one acre land in Banjara Hills was sanctioned under SC Development Department; Christian Bhavan at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crores on two acres of land was sanctioned at Marredpally under the Minorities Welfare Department; Kumaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan and Banjara Bhavan at a cost of Rs 2.50 crore on a plot of one acre at Banjara Hills under Tribal Welfare Department; Doddi Komaraiah Memorial Bhavan at a cost of Rs Five crore in Malkajgiri on a plot of 1.20 acres under BC Welfare Department and Kerala Bhavan at Mahendra Hills for which one crore was sanctioned.
He further pointed out that on the request of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Kerala Government has agreed to provide free of cost required land for constructing Telangana Bhavan at Sabarimala for Ayyappa devotees visiting the shrine from Telangana. On a similar gesture, the TS government also sanctioned the Kerala Bhavan here, he added. (NSS)
