TRS leader P. Mahendar Reddy here on Sunday assumed office as Transport Minister in the Secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahendar Reddy said all possible measures would be taken to retrieve Telangana RTC from huge losses. The minister said the government would not take a decision on hiking the bus fares in the near future.
Exuding confidence that the position of TSRTC would be better in the coming months, Mahendar Reddy said a proposal to merge the Corporation with the government will be discussed in the cabinet meeting. (NSS)
