(Siasat News)Govt. is making lofty claims to promote education whereas Urdu Medium education in Adilabad District is counting its last days.
Although Urdu medium schools were established in the district but teachers were not recruited. Education of other languages is being encouraged but Urdu medium education is getting neglected.
Urdu was declared as the 2nd official language for the district ten years back.
Despite this, the Govt. officials of this district are giving a step-motherly treatment to Zilla Parishad Urdu Medium High School of Bellampally. It has fallen prey to this king of step-motherly treatment of the narrow-minded district officials.
Z.P.Urdu Medium High School was established during TDP rule. Arrangements were made to start education from VI to X standard.
Even after the lapse of twelve years, Urdu medium education is suffering from the negligence of the narrow-minded officials of Education Department. This school has only one Headmaster. Other teachers have not yet been recruited. Four days back one teacher has been appointed. There are nearly 150 students in this High School. This school accommodates five classes in three rooms. There is no drinking water and no toilet. The Govt. has allocated funds for the constructed of the toilet in the school. The officials don’t show any interest in constructing the compound wall.
Mr. Mohammed Sadiq, Chairman of the committee of Urdu Medium High School told the staff reporter of Siasat Mr. Mahboob Khan to request the Govt. to recruit teachers for this school. Mr. Jkramullah Khan, District Educational Officer during his inspection noticed that there is shortage of teachers in the school.
