Hyderabad, October 09 (Mubashir Khurram): After APMFC now it’s AP Urdu academy’s turn to obligate opening of bank accounts for Urdu medium students to receive scholarships. Last year itself principal secretary Minority Welfare department had exposed his mentality towards Urdu by issuing a circular at the eleventh hour. As the academy had been directed to issue checks on students’ account last year the issue of checks was delayed and thousands of students who didn’t have a bank account faced difficulties.
In the Urdu literary and journalistic circles it is felt that principal secretary Minority Welfare Department Mr. Linga Raj Panigarhi is trying to cease all the schemes for the growth and development of Urdu and let AP state Urdu academy to remain for the name sake.
These types of complaints have already been received earlier but because of the heedlessness of Minority Welfare Minister towards them now the future of the academy seems to be in danger.
