Women belonging to Jind village in Haryana have written a letter to PM Modi advising him to stay with his wife Jashodaben.
They argued that PM Mod should stay with his better half as he initiated “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign across India, if he has so much respect for the girl child than he should stay with his wife.
Women of Palwa village conducted a meeting under the chairmanship of Zila parishad Surender Devi and it come to a decision that they will send a letter to PM on weekly basis demanding that he should stay with his wife
Modi and Jashodaben Chimanlal’s marriage was arranged by the latter’s parents, in keeping with the traditions of the Ghanchi caste.
Modi was 13 years of age when the marriage was arrange and they got married in 1968, when Modi was 18 years of age.
The marriage took place in Modi’s native village, Vadnagar, in Mehsana distrcit. Modi and his wife lived together for 3 months, after which Modi left home to travel across India.
Modi, after a period of three years, stopped visiting his wife and family, since he got involved in his work as a RSS pracharak.
It is not a political issue but it is related to the dignity of a women cited the women and said that “They will keep on writing letters to PM Modi till he decides to stay with her.”
