Stay order on NEET result makes students and parents panicky

Hyderabad: Aspirants of MBBS and BDS are disappointed since Supreme Court did not agree to hear the case immediately on the stay order passed by Madras High Court for withholding NEET results.

It may be mentioned that in NEET 2017 examination, Madras High Court passed stay order on releasing the results since some of the candidates complained that translations of NEET question papers in other language were different. It will result in the loss of one academic year if immediate hearing is not conducted. State Govt. has to reschedule counseling of EAMCET. If the issue is not decided, the last date of admissions in degree colleges will also be over. Those who do not get admissions in MBBS and BDS will have to forego seats in degree colleges also.

It was reported that last year also due to some irregularities in conducting NEET, the students faced difficulties. This time, although the test was conducted on time but its results are withheld.

In South India, for admissions into these courses crores of rupees are collected. It was hoped that due to the implementation of NEET such practices would be curbed. The parents alleged that by subjecting NEET results to legal complications, a conspiracy is being hatched which created panic among the students and parents.
