The department of Youth Services, Government of Telangana, Hyderabad, is conducting State youth festival from January 2 and 3 at Shilparamam at Madhapur here.
Events in folk dance, folk song, one-act play, classical vocal solo (Hindustani and Carnatic), classical instrumental solo (Sitar, flute, tabla, Veena and Mridangam), Harmonium (Light), Guitar, Classical dance (Manipuri, Oddissi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Kuchipudi) Eolcution (Extempore) will be conducted besides non-competitive events like Quiz, essay, writing , painting , song, violin, dance , mono action, Mimicry, Ventriloquism, Magic, Fancy dress and Martial arts.
The first prize winners at district level will compete at State level in the events concerned and the first prize winners at State Youth Festival will be sent to participate in National Youth Festival to be held at Guwahati, Assam from January 8 to 12. The programs are arranged at Shilparamam in four different stages. (NSS)
