Hyderabad, January 14: Senior Telugu Desam party leader and former minister Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu here on Saturday predicted that the Congress government in the State would achieve dubious distinction of changing five chief ministers by 2014 elections.
Speaking to media persons, GMK Naidu has ridiculed Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy for tirelessly making rounds to New Delhi to protect his post rather than striving for welfare of the people. He also charged the Chief Minister with organizing International Partnership Summit-2012 with sole intention of refurbishing his waning image and for publicity.
The former minister alleged that the Kiran government was trying to hoodwink the people by showing old companies as new ones though there was no possibility of new industries coming up in the State.
Referring to AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s vow that he would transform Uttar Pradesh into another Andhra Pradesh, Naidu asked whether Rahul Gandhi aims to make UP outshine AP in rampant corruption. He also bemoaned that the people of the State were not able to celebrate their biggest festival “Sankranthi” amidst sky rocketing prices of essential commodities and severe drought conditions.
