State, Union govts suppressing the media: Uttam

Alleging that there was no freedom of expression in the State, TPCC Chief and Huzurnagar MLA N Uttam Kumar Reddy today said both the State and Union government were suppressing the media in the democratic nation. He called upon journalists to launch movement against the TRS government along with Opposition parties.

Participating in TUWJ-IJU Suryapet district unit first meeting held at Huzurnagar on Sunday, Uttam Kumar suggested to the KCR government to work sincerely towards solving problems of the journalists. Assuring the journalists that the Congress party would extend its support to them, TPCC president demanded that the State government provide free medical facility to the journalists.  He also asked the journalists to perform their duties sincerely for the sake of tomorrow’s society.
