State refutes charges on spurious drugs

Medical Education and Health Insurance Minister Kondru Murali Mohan Rao on Tuesday refuted the charges that several spurious drugs and medicines are being sold in the market with the connivance of certain drug inspectors.

Replying to a question raised by Rudra raju Padma Raju and D rajeswara Rao in the State Legislative Council, he said that there was no truth in the report that one Bangalore based IT company has been entrusted with the task to curb the menace of spurious drugs in the market. He informed that the government was considering formation of task force to eradicate this menace. (INN)
