Hailstorm in Telangana continued to wreak havoc in the State on Monday. The State witnessed record rainfall of 7 cm, forcing the Met officials to sound an alert about the hailstorms for the next 24 hours.
Director-in-charge Y K Reddy of Meteorological department of Hyderabad said that thunderstorm with hailstorm would occur at several isolated places across the districts of Telangana.
“The upper turfs running from Lakshadweep to Chhattisgarh across interior Karnataka and Telangana have led to the hailstorms” Reddy observed.
On Monday, Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district received the highest rainfall of 7 cm followed by Hyderabad with 6 cm. Hanamkonda recorded the highest maximum temperature of 30.5 degree Celsius followed by Adilabad recorded 29.8 degree Celsius, Mahabubnagar 29.3 degree Celsius, Nizamabad 28.6 degree Celsius, Ramagundam 26.4 degree Celsius.
