State govts. ruling with the dead bodies of minorities & dalits: Civil Liberties Committee

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Civil Liberties Committee slammed union and state governments for ruling with the dead bodies of minorities and backward classes in order to appease corporate sector. Speaking to media here State President Civil Liberties, Prof. G Laxman said that this has been proved by Alair encounter followed by Malkangiri and Bhopal encounters. State governments are shedding the blood of innocent minorities and backward classes on the pretext of encounters.

Prof. G Laxman said team of greyhounds on the pretext of encounter against Maoist, killed more than 30 people including 15 women and girls who were below 15 years, in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on the border with Andhra Pradesh. He claimed that Malkangiri incident was a fake encounter and a well planned conspiracy. He said greyhound is an illegal police force which kills innocent tribals in the name of encounter against Maoists at the behest of the government. He stressed the need to ban that force. Mr. Laxman said had the incident of Malkangiri been actually an encounter, the heads and legs of tribal women would not have separated from the body. They were first arrested, then given 3rd degree torture, later their head and legs were amputated and after that they were shot and drama of encounter was enacted, he said.

Prof. G Laxman said at the time of taking charge as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu had killed innocents in the name of Maoists.

Speaking to media Vice President V Raghunath said at the behest of Union government innocent people were killed in Alair, Malkangiri and Bhopal encounters. Judicial probe should be carried out in Alair, Malkangiri and Bhopal encounters so that facts are brought to light. He said a team of national Civil Liberties Committee will be leaving for Madhya Pradesh on November 9 and 10 where it will look into Bhopal fake encounter and prepare a report based on facts.

N Narayana Rao General Secretary, PM Raju City President, Mohammed Ismail Secretary Greater Hyderabad Committee, T Laxman City Vice President were also present on the occasion.
