State govt to recruit 3,600 cops to strengthen security

Telangana govt will going to recruit 3,650 police constables to strengthen security in the state. The proposal came soon after the death of Siddaiah, sub-inspector of police of Atmakur, who fought fearlessly with the terrorists two days back. With the state witnessing two major encounters in a span of three days.

Also, the state govt has increased the ex gratia from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 40 lakh to the families of the police constables, lower cadre officers who lost their lives in terrorist violences.

According to the sources, a Cabinet sub-committee that is headed by Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy was formed to allot the quantum of money to the families of those killed and who were injured in incidents of terrorist violence.
