State govt move ahead to provide house sites for journalists

In a bid to make journalists happy the state govt on Sunday said that the government would very soon take a decision on endorsement cards and will provide house sites for journalists.

The IT minister was speaking at the Telangana Union of Working Journalist’s first conference in Telangana, said the government would give land sites to the journalists in rural areas and for journalists in Hyderabad and also construct double bedroom houses with Rs 4 lakh .

“Government would also provide accreditation cards and health cards which can provide Rs 2 lakh worth medical services.
The minister said that the government would fulfill all the promises made to the journalists. The delay is only to provide better package and there should not doubt the intentions of the government, he added.

Stating that the role played by journalists in Telangana was un-forgetful, Harish Rao said the government was committed for welfare of the reporters. He said that the government would construct a Journalist Bhavan with Rs 10 crore and added that he would take responsibility to resolve all the issues of journalists.
